To manage how many bookings can be accepted for a single time slot, you can set capacity limits in BookX. This helps avoid overbooking and ensures your resources (services, staff, or locations) are not overwhelmed.
You can choose to set capacity based on how your business operates:

1. Capacity by Service: Set a total booking limit per service for each time slot.
Example: If your “Yoga Class” has a capacity of 5, then only 5 bookings can be made for any given slot, regardless of the products selected.
2. Capacity by Product: Set a limit for each product or variant within a service.
Example: For a “Massage” service with products like “Head Massage” and “Foot Massage,” setting a capacity of 5 means each variant can be booked up to 5 times per slot.
3. Capacity by Location: Set booking limits for each location. To do this, go to the Locations page and set the capacity under Advanced Location Setup.
Example: If you have “Downtown” and “Uptown” locations, setting a capacity of 5 means each location can take up to 5 bookings per time slot.
4. Capacity by Team Member: Set booking limits for each team member. To do this, go to the Teams page and configure the capacity for each team member.
Example: If you set a capacity of 5, each team member can be booked up to 5 times during the same time slot.
5. Capacity by Team Member & Location: Limit bookings for each team member at a specific location.
Example: If Sarah works at the Uptown location and the capacity is set to 5, Sarah can be booked up to 5 times per slot, only at Uptown.
6. Include Product Quantity in Capacity: Enable this option if you want to use the product quantity (selected by the customer) to impact capacity calculations.
Useful when a customer booking multiple items in a single appointment should take up more capacity.
