How to enable notification, cancellation, or rescheduling

BookX gives you control over notification and customer self-service options. You can choose whether to receive notifications for new bookings and decide if customers are allowed to cancel or reschedule their own appointments.

These settings help reduce no-shows, give customers flexibility, and save you time from managing changes manually.


How to enable notification on your service

1. Go to the “Services” page and select the service you want to update.

2. Go to “Availability Settings” and scroll to the “Notification Email” section.

3. Enter your email address and click the “Save” button.


How to enable cancellation on your service

1. Go to the “Services” page and select the service you want to update.

2. Go to “Availability Settings” and scroll to the “Cancel Booking” section.

3. Enable “Allow your customers to cancel booking” option.

4. Set the cut-off time after which customers cannot cancel already scheduled booking. Cut-off time can be set in minutes, hours, or days.

5. Once you set your cancellation preferences, click the “Save” button.


How to enable reschedule for your service

1. Go to the “Services” page and select the service you want to update.

2. Go to “Availability Settings” and scroll to the “Reschedule Booking” section.

3. Enable “Allow your customers to reschedule booking” option.

4. Set the cut-off time after which customers cannot reschedule already scheduled booking. Cut-off time can be set in minutes, hours, or days.

5. Set the maximum number of times the booking can be rescheduled.

6. Once you set your reschedule preferences, click the “Save” button.
