BookX lets you sync your bookings with Google Calendar and automatically add Google Meet links to appointments for virtual meetings.
How to sync Google Calendar & Google Meet
1. Go to BookX “Settings” and click “Edit” on Integrations.
2. Select “Google” and click the “Connect Google” button.
3. Select your Google account that you wish to sync with BookX.
4. Click “Continue” and then click “Allow” to permit BookX to access your Google Calendar.
5. Enable “Add Google Meet link with Google Calendar event” if you want to add Meet links to your calendar and your customer’s calendar events (Optional).
6. Enable “Sync Google Calendar to Manage Appointment Availability” to automatically block time slots based on your Google Calendar events (Optional).
7. Enable “Send email notifications to customers about booking-related activities” if you want notifications to be sent from your email address (Optional).
8. Choose your preferred Google Calendar Sync Method:
Consolidate all events into a single calendar: All bookings will sync to one calendar.
Link each services to its own calendar: Each service will sync to its own calendar.
Note: You’ll need to create a separate Google Calendar for each service.
After creating separate calendars, go to BookX Services → Select a service → Availability Settings → Select Google Calendar and assign the calendar where bookings should sync.
9. If you selected Consolidate all events into a single calendar, choose the calendar you want to use.
10. Click “Save” to apply the changes.
Once a customer books an appointment, the booked appointment will display in your calendar and customer calendar along with the Google Meet link (if enabled).
How to verify BookX access in Google Calendar
1. Open your Google Calendar, and click on “three dots” beside your name in the “My Calendars” section.
2. Select “Settings and sharing”, and then click on the “Access Permission for events” option.
3. Ensure that “Make available for Logbase” is enabled. If you don’t see the option, enable the “Make available for public” option.
How to disconnect Google Calendar from BookX
1. Go to BookX “Settings” and click “Edit” on Integration.
2. Select “Google Meet & Calendar” and click the “logout” icon.
3. Click “Save” to apply the changes.
