In the Booking Settings page, you can customize how the booking process behaves, including slot reservation timing, redirection after booking, universal booking link, time zone detection and payment status settings.
How to configure booking settings
Go to BookX “Settings” page, click “Edit” on General Configurations, and select the “Booking Settings” tab.
1. Slot Reservation Time

When a customer selects a time slot, it becomes temporarily unavailable for others. If the customer doesn’t complete the booking within the set reservation time, the slot will become available again.
Example: If you set the reservation time to 5 minutes, the slot will be held for that customer for 5 minutes before it's released.
Once you configure the slot reservation time, click the “Save” button.
2. Booking Redirection

This setting controls where customers are taken immediately after completing a booking.
Enable this setting and choose one of the following destinations:
- Cart Page: Customers will be sent to their cart after booking
- Checkout Page: Customers will be sent directly to checkout, skipping the cart page.
Once you configure the booking redirection, click the “Save” button.
3. Universal Booking Link

Enable this settings to link your booking widget with any button in your store on any page.
Once you enable the universal booking link, click the “Save” button.
4. Automatic Time Zone Detection

Enable this setting to automatically detect customer’s time zone based on their browser settings. This helps avoid confusion when booking across different regions.
Once you enable the automatic time zone detection, click the “Save” button.
5. Payment Status

Set the default payment status for “Book Now, Pay Later” and manual bookings. The selected status will appear on the Shopify Orders page for these bookings.
Choose between “Paid” and “Pending” options.
Once you configure the payment status, click the “Save” button.
